All the staff on Gladstone 2 were amazing. My biggest hugs go to Nis. She's amazing. What a great team you have. 5 weeks I was in and they made it all feel so much better. Love Marc Higgins room 24 lol
The CM Acad Area 1 had suffered a leaking pipe overnight, so staff were working flat out to remove the water on the floor and tidy up the unit when I arrived at 8.30am for a 9.00am appointment. Members of the team came out and apologized for the short delay on a number of occasions and kept us informed. In the event, there was only about a 10 minute delay in being seen by Mr Kapil Sahnan.
Many congratulations to the whole team for delivering such a great experience under difficult circumstances!
Great job well done
My recent stay at Central Middlesex Hospital was a mixed experience. The majority of the medical team, including the doctors and nurses, exhibited professionalism and kindness, making my initial post-surgery days bearable. However, there were instances that left me feeling disrespected and neglected, which overshadowed the overall positive impression.
Regrettably, there were occasions when I felt ignored and uninformed about crucial aspects of my recovery process. I believe that improved communication would have alleviated much of the anxiety and uncertainty I faced. Furthermore, the frequent issues with equipment and the apparent lack of preparedness among some staff members were concerning and contributed to a sense of insecurity about the quality of care provided.
Moreover, the cleanliness standards in the ward were inconsistent, with noticeable delays in cleaning the toilets and maintaining the overall tidiness of the room. This compromise in hygiene did not align with the standards one would expect from a reputable healthcare facility, adding to the discomfort of an already challenging recovery period.
In light of these experiences, while I commend the dedication of certain individuals within the hospital, I urge the management to address these issues promptly. By fostering a culture of empathy, effective communication, and maintaining a higher standard of cleanliness and operational readiness, Central Middlesex Hospital could greatly enhance the overall patient experience and ensure a more holistic and dignified approach to care.
I Am writing to compliment my physio Mr Vikash Lad in the adult Physiotherapy clinic.
I fell down my stairs at home and fractured my left shoulder.
I have been seeing Vikash regularly and at a convenient time of 8.30 am.
I have ataxia which makes walking difficult and I use a stick.
So having strong working shoulders and hands was essential.
Mr Lad is a great young man, keen and confident in showing me I would improve. Every visit he has pushed me on and said to me I will improve.
Today I am so much better and it’s thanks to him.
I am so pleased that our NHS has people like him to look after us.
Kind regards
Mrs Diana Patel
Cannot fault it.
I have been seen very quickly after referral by my optician and I was impressed at how smoothly my appointment went. All the staff were lovely and did their jobs efficiently. I was treated with respect and felt that the staff took their time to listen to me. I was especially impressed with the nurse who tested my vision and glasses prescription as he was very thorough and caring. There was a computer glitch on the day of my appointment which delayed test results being shared by departments but this did not significantly affect me. It was more chaotic in the eye clinic on the first floor as there were more patients being seen by fewer staff, so it seemed, and the reception staff were far more stressed. Waiting times were longer there too.
The Acad centre at Central Middx hospital is great… I have yet to stay on the wards so cannot make any comments about that side but I am so pleased that I am able to be a patient of this hospital.
1) Friendly welcome from the Reception Staff
2) The HCAs who undertook the sight test and placed the drops in my eyes were great.
3) The Consultant Ms Rabia Bourkiza was outstanding - excellent in all areas. A shining example of why the NHS is so amazing.
Very good and organised
